FOUNDER’S NOTE
Dear Fellow Adventurer,
I spend my days hearing people tell stories about the places they’ve always dreamed of visiting. For some, it’s a romantic getaway to Paris or floating through the skies of Cappadocia in a hot air balloon. For others, it’s the arduous pilgrimage to Machu Picchu or scuba diving in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Regardless of the destination, the one thing these once in a lifetime trips have in common is how many will never actually happen. They are perpetually ‘in the making’. This is where I come in. WHO AM I?
My innate passion for travel started as a youngster. Growing up, my family loved to road-trip and by the time I was 18, I visited all 48 continental states across the US. After refusing to study abroad in college, I graduated in 2014 and found myself working a job that my heart wasn’t in. After a few lengthy conversations with my best friend, we decided to quit our jobs and embark on a 6-month backpacking trip across 26 countries in Europe and Central America. This is where Uproute Travel was conceived.
A few years later, Uproute was officially launched and I spent the first year in business doing what I do best. Each month was spent in a new country across South America, Europe, and Asia. I met with industry professionals, experienced local tours, and visited the world’s top hotels. From the very beginning, I knew how important it was for my clients to see me in the places they wanted to travel to themselves. After all, how could they trust me with their bucket list adventures if I hadn’t been to the destinations myself?
Today, I have visited 66 countries across 6 continents with my goal being to never be older than the number of countries I’ve traveled to. While I enjoy traveling personally, it brings me even greater joy to help clients take the vacations they always wanted but never thought they could realistically do.
