Travel has changed a lot over the last few years and consulting an expert to answer your questions can ease a lot of stress. Hourly consultation calls can include topics such destination inquiries, logistical recommendations, troubleshooting, and more.

WHY SHOULD I USE AN UPROUTE TRAVEL ADVISOR?

We all know that planning a vacation takes a lot of time, research, and effort. It’s undoubtedly the hardest part of travel. You could spend hours, if not days, of your limited free time poring over online reviews and articles to no avail. Why not leave the hard part to an expert? You trust experts to represent you in court, do your taxes, repair your car - why should travel be any different? You’ve earned your time off, make sure you get the most out of it (and please don’t limit it to the “must do’s” you see on Google or Tripadvisor)! Book your travel with someone who has been there!

DOES USING A TRAVEL ADVISOR COST ME MORE?

No! And to go even further, we at Uproute believe in maximizing your value. Cost is the dollar amount you pay, while value is what you receive in return. While we certainly have access to best available rates and promotions at hotels, more importantly we will get you the VIP service you deserve. Uproute clients have access to preferred perks, room upgrades, hotel credits, breakfast inclusions, and being known by name before you even walk through the front door. We firmly believe that when it comes to travel, it’s important not to step over dollars to pick up pennies.

HOW DOES PAYMENT AND COST WORK?

Uproute’s service fee is set at a standard percentage of your total trip budget. Have no idea what the trip you’re envisioning will cost? No problem. This is one of the many topics we will discuss on our initial call. After determining an estimated budget, we require half of our service fee upfront. The remainder will be paid once the trip planning process is complete to allow for any budget fluctuations either up or down. This generally works out to 6-8 weeks prior to travel.

WHAT TYPES OF TRIPS DO YOU PLAN?

We do it all, inclusive of but not limited to: international honeymoons, destination weddings (and proposals), first-time galavants to Europe, around the world adventures, guided treks to Wonders of the World, babymoons, wildlife expeditions, and so much more. Maybe it’s easier if you ask us the types of trips we don’t plan :)

DO YOU RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE? 

Yes, always. The thing about the unexpected, is that it’s never expected (duh). We all know that life happens. In most cases, travel insurance only costs between 5%-10% of your total trip budget, which is well worth the risk it mitigates. Protect your travel investments!

HOW INVOLVED CAN I BE IN THE PLANNING? 

As much or as little as you would like! We work with clients who prefer we take all planning off their plates as well as those who want to be involved every step of the way.
