Communication:
The official language of Montenegro is Montenegrin. Most people in tourism will have a good handle on English.
Transportation:
Airplane: Air travel is not very common within Montenegro. Getting here from the US will require at least one, potentially two, connections.
Bus: Undoubtedly the most popular way to get around Montenegro. Buses are cheap and easy to find. My go-to website for this is Bookaway.
Taxi/Uber: Taxi are cheap and not too difficult to find. Make sure cabbies run their meter (if they have one). If not, be sure to agree on a price beforehand.
Miscellaneous:
Of all Balkan countries, Montenegro was my favorite. I found the beaches, mountains, and old towns to be stunning! I think it’s the next big European travel destination!
